Adaptable Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established financial services organisation to recruit a Senior Investment Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in investment administration, pensions, wealth management or financial services operations to join a growing team in a senior position with real responsibility and variety.

The Role

As a Senior Investment Technician, you will oversee investment transactions from the point instructions are received through to the point everything has been completed, paid correctly and checked for accuracy.

You will act as a senior point of contact within the team, helping with more complex queries, maintaining high levels of accuracy and supporting improvements to systems and processes.

The role is technical and detail-focused, but the company offers a supportive culture, flexible working arrangements and strong long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process investment transactions including purchases, sales, account transfers and investment changes
  • Place and manage trades with investment platforms, fund managers and investment providers
  • Monitor transaction paperwork and ensure payments and transfers are completed on time
  • Ensure investments, charges and income payments are recorded accurately on the system
  • Investigate and resolve delayed or failed transactions
  • Support with more complex investment queries and issues
  • Ensure all activity follows company procedures and compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails
  • Liaise with advisers, investment providers and internal teams
  • Provide updates on transaction progress and completion status
  • Support quality checking and process improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Assist with improving systems and internal workflows

What They Are Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of the full investment transaction process from instruction through to completion
  • Experience working within investment administration, investment operations or wealth management
  • Experience dealing with funds, investment products and investment platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and awareness of risk and accuracy
  • Ability to manage busy workloads and work to deadlines
  • At least 3 years' experience within a similar investment-related role
  • Confident communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority regulations and Consumer Duty
  • Experience using investment or dealing systems
  • Working towards or completed investment qualifications
  • Exposure to more complex or unusual investment types
