Accounts Payable Clerk/ £28,000 - £32,000 / North Liverpool / Temporary on-going / Hybrid

Adaptable Recruitment are working with a growing business in North Liverpool who are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team

Package:

• Salary £28,000 - £32,000
• Full-time, Temporary on-going
• 25 days holiday plus BHs
• Hybrid working pattern (3 days in and 2 from home)

Job Duties:

• Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers, acting as a point of contact to ensure queries are resolved promptly and payments are made in line with agreed terms.
• Complete supplier statement reconciliations, following up on missing invoices or discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of the accounts payable ledger.
• Prepare and process regular weekly and ad-hoc payment runs, ensuring all invoices are correctly authorised, coded, and paid within agreed deadlines.
• Support with the credit card and staff expenses process, checking receipts and ensuring VAT is recorded correctly in line with HMRC guidelines.
• Perform accurate and timely monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and investigating any variances between the bank and accounting system.
• Assist with daily monitoring of the accounts payable inbox, ensuring supplier queries, payment requests, and invoice issues are dealt with efficiently.
• Help maintain up-to-date supplier records, including payment details and documentation, in line with company policies.

Who will I report into?
This role will report directly into the Finance Manager

Ideal experience?

• Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume accounts payable role essential
• Great communications skills to relay key information to other staff
• Good excel and system skills essential
• 2+ years experience in an Accounts Payable role is essential
