Location: Liverpool City Centre
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (35 hours)

Adaptable Recruitment are working with a highly respected professional organisation in Liverpool City Centre to recruit a confident and motivated Credit Controller.
In this role, you'll take ownership of a diverse ledger of client accounts, ensuring invoices are followed up promptly and outstanding balances are managed effectively. You'll play a key role in maintaining smooth cashflow across the business while delivering a positive and professional experience to internal teams and external customers.
This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you'll work closely with finance colleagues and operational teams, contributing directly to monthly cash collection targets.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely payment of invoices
  • Achieving or exceeding personal collection targets each month
  • Following up overdue balances via telephone and other agreed methods
  • Investigating and resolving payment queries quickly and professionally
  • Adapting communication styles to suit a wide range of clients
  • Keeping detailed, accurate notes of all credit control activity
  • Prioritising your workload using internal reporting tools
  • Working with colleagues to support shared goals and provide cover where needed
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end tasks when required

What We're Looking For


Essential:

  • Previous experience in a credit control or similar collections-based role
  • Credit management qualification desirable
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident working independently and managing your own workload
  • Solid organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
