up to £45,000 - Depending on experience.

External Sales Executive - Northern Region


Covering Sheffield, Leeds, Doncaster & surrounding areas
£35,000-£45,000 DOE + Bonuses + Company Benefits


The Role:


This position focuses on driving sales growth across the Northern region, working with builders, contractors and industries that use scaffolding equipment and related products. You'll manage your own territory, build long?lasting relationships and convert high?potential enquiries into revenue.

Key Responsibilities to Include:

  • Grow hire and sales revenue across your region.
  • Target new, lapsed and existing customers through site visits, meetings and outbound activity.
  • Manage all leads, referrals and enquiries through to completion.
  • Deliver strong account management, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Plan weekly activity to maximise time spent meeting clients.
  • Liaise closely with internal sales and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Produce accurate hire and sales quotations and convert them into confirmed orders.
  • Promote the company's full product and service offering across your territory.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing and wider market trends.
  • Represent the business professionally at trade events, meetings and industry functions.
  • Manage your territory effectively, ensuring good rotation of client visits and structured coverage.
  • Stay updated on new product developments and industry changes.
  • Take ownership of personal development and contribute to performance reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with wider business areas to support smooth operational performance.

The ideal Candidate:

  • Experience within the scaffolding sector is essential.
  • Strong technical understanding of scaffolding equipment and components.
  • Confident, proactive sales professional with strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time?management skills.
  • Ability to manage a large region independently while collaborating with internal teams.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new systems.
  • Positive attitude, integrity, and a professional approach.
