Junior Credit Controller
Leigh
£28,000
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and personable Junior Credit Controller to join a large, established and growing business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start or develop their career within credit control, joining a business that offers long-term career prospects, development and progression opportunities.

Importantly, this is a personality-led role. Our client is looking for someone who is naturally confident, outgoing and enjoys building relationships with people. Strong communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to pick up the phone, have conversations with customers and build positive working relationships.

You don't necessarily need years of credit control experience. They are much more interested in finding the right personality, attitude and someone with the confidence and drive to make the role their own.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively contacting customers to chase outstanding payments and reduce aged debt.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers through regular communication.

  • Managing customer accounts and ensuring payments are received within agreed terms.

  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries and payment discrepancies.

  • Working closely with internal departments to resolve account issues.

  • Keeping accurate records of customer interactions, promises to pay and account activity.

  • Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day credit control responsibilities.

  • Helping to improve cash flow through effective account management and communication.

What They're Looking For

  • A confident, outgoing and approachable personality.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Someone who is comfortable picking up the phone and speaking with customers.

  • A proactive individual who isn't afraid to have conversations and build relationships.

  • Good organisation skills and the ability to manage their own workload.

  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to develop.

  • Someone ambitious who is looking to join a large business with genuine opportunities for future growth and progression.

Why Join?

  • Join a large, established and successful business.

  • Opportunity to develop a career within finance and credit control.

  • Genuine scope for progression and long-term development.

  • Supportive team environment with opportunities to learn and grow.

  • A role where personality, communication skills and attitude are genuinely valued.
